Pusha T is throwing shots at the YMCB camp again. And this time Lil Wayne and Co. has actually responded accordingly.
While working with R&B maestro The-Dream on his forthcoming Album, Pusha found time to record a track against Young Money. "Exodus 23:1" was released a few days ago and is already receiving some significant radio play; not to mention causing a stir over the internet. While Pusha doesn't explicitly name Wayne or Drake in the lyrics, the writing is on the wall. The allusions are apparent. Pusha T is tired of being politically correct and is slowly but surely becoming more blatant in his Diss songs.
You signed to one nigga that signed to another nigga
That's signed to three niggas, now that's bad luck"- Pusha T (Exodus 23:1)
The Hip-Hop community has been waiting on some action for awhile. The Common vs. Drake conflict didn't sate the appetite for most and the two squashed the beef at this year's Grammys. For any of those who don't know, Pusha and Drake's beef have a little history but, the Pusha and Wayne Beef have even more history. You can go back to Re-Up Gang's Vol 3 mix tape to hear shots at Young Moola's Centerpiece.Peep the Intro if you want. The beef actually goes back further than that. I remember when the Clipse were beefing with Wayne and one of the crutches of the beef was how Wayne was stealing their style at the time: Rocking Bape clothing, having your cataloug 85% filled with drug refrences, etc.
Fuck pusha t and anybody that love himhis head up his ass, i’mma have to head-butt him- Lil Wayne (Ghoulish)
In the Hip-Hop of today Pusha T is his own man. He's with a different label; no longer under Pharrell's direct guidance. He's no longer just the one part of the infamous Clipse duo. And while he has had to "play nice" over the year or so to not cause friction between his affiliates and anyone affiliated with YMCMB, Pusha is on his agressor tip.
Wayne has decided to respond with a verse/song called "Ghoulish". He even went on twitter to announce his resentment for the G.O.O.D music artist. Drake also spoke out about his stance with Pusha while on his Club Paradise tour. Now the twitverse is going rampant. Fans of the rappers and the rappers themselves are bickering. The clash songs are coming out.
"If you was doing 16s
when I was 16 and your sh*t still flopped and you switched teams, don't talk to
me my n*gga."-Drake
This beef between Pusha T and Wayne x Drake has the potential to bring in both rappers camps into the fray. The dram continues and we'll see what follow. Links to all the songs are below
Side Note: I thought it was a lil funny The-Dream is in Exodus.
